1/14 Earnings Preview For The Week Ahead

I’m going to do something a little different now for earnings previews. Since you all have access to my database now, I don’t need to post all the options flow I’ve logged for every name reporting, you all can easily search for whatever you need. So instead, I’m going to highlight 1 of the big names reporting each day, look at their charts, look at the options flows, and discuss potential trades.

There is nothing Monday with the market closed, so the 4 I will go over today are

Tuesday - Goldman Sachs

Wednesday - Charles Schwab

Thursday - Taiwan Semi

Friday - Schlumberger

I’m going to be using longer term monthly charts for these because with earnings being a crapshoot, we need to look at longer term setups in these names and big support levels to sell puts at. So keep that in mind as again I’m mostly a put seller, you won’t ever find me suggesting short term calls, that is gambling, if you want to throw on some short calls using a risk reversal after you sell some puts, that is fine, but I won’t ever suggest calls on earnings by themselves. That is just reckless.
