1/29 Recap

We continue to just drift sideways the last few sessions. Really nothing notable until we start seeing these big reports starting tomorrow with Microsoft and Google. Then Powell speaks, and then Apple,Amazon, Meta report thursday, so fear not, we should be getting some big moves the next few days. This is just the calm before the storm.

Oil made a nasty near $3 intraday reversal today and so far seems to be putting in a big bearish engulfing candle. We will have to see how it reacts the next few sessions, but oil continues to be one of the toughest assets to trade. It just had a technical breakout last week and now prints a bearish engulfing.

Trends

China names are quickly flying up the list of recently bullish names with FXI and BABA now in the top 10 for the past week. Smaller names like VRT are showing up here alot, it is very notable when an obscure name like that sees that much call buying in a week.
