We got a tiny bounce off the 21 ema touch yesterday and are stuck right below the 8 ema right now, nothing of any significance today, no breakdown. Powell just finished speaking and bonds flipped green, gold went to new highs and all is well again. The trend remains bullish, but hanging on by a thread.

Oil went over 86 at one point today but has given some back. This energy breakout is finally happening and that flurry of energy trades you’ve seen over the last couple weeks was very well timed.

Recent Trades

In the 1/12 recap here I highlighted PLAY, the stock was just below $50 then and a player stepped in and bought 5500 of the January 2026 $80 calls way out of the money. Dave and Busters is a chain of Arcades that serves food/alcohol. It’s seen lots of insider buys over the last couple years and we’ve seen this before in here with the leaps especially in KR and META where the players load up these far OTM calls and then the name moves. Today PLAY is over $69, up over 40% in just under 3 months and up 12% today alone. Obscure names like this continue to be the ones that generate the most alpha in these recaps.
