5/22 Recap

I had to head out a little early today, but I’m not going to go over the market charts anyways just because there’s no sense with such a big catalyst like NVDA reporting this afternoon. Alot will change after that and we will have a better gauge of market direction after. That has been the leader of our market for a year now and we’re going to rise or fall on their print.

I also want to say that I saw a massive block of Starbucks puts bought today that you will see below in the table. I know I made it a weekend best idea 2 weeks ago on 5/11 but you can close up that trade below for a very large gain right now because Starbucks has made a huge move for a stock like that going up 6% since to 80.50. The calls I mentioned below for 3.25 are now trading for nearly $5 and the short puts have gone up too. I usually don’t mention when to close up trades, but because this one has this massive put buy today and it being up alot in 7 sessions, I think you won’t kick yourself if you close it here and something happens. So just a heads up. Im sure Starbucks will be fine by June 2026 and who knows it may keep going, but it is now your call if you want to stick around.

TAN - Just yesterday I wrote up this ETF because of the trade below where that player put on that aggressive 1x3 risk reversal. Today TAN is up just under 9% as I write this. For an ETF that is an insane move, this isn’t a penny stock. That trade they put on yesterday was $1.20 out of pocket when I wrote the recap, if you closed it up right now you’d have 3 calls at 45 for 3.15 each and 1 short put for .55. That is a total of 8.90 today for a 1.20 outlay yesterday. That is honestly probably the highest returning trade I’ve ever noted overnight. The timing from whoever placed it was impeccable. If you played this one, I hope you closed it up today.
