I didn’t want to wait for all the features to be ready to roll them out instead opting to release them slowly to let us test things and get feedback from you all.
Hey James, thanks for all the hard work updating the database. Really excited to try some of this stuff out. I’m not sure if you may already be working on this, but could you add the same filters on the Option Flow tab to the Rankings tab? I’d be interested to see how rankings change by selecting/deselecting “Puts bought”, “puts sold”, and “calls bought” and also changing “Expiry to" and "Expiry From" dates. For example I’d think the top names ranked with only sold puts & time to expiry > 30 DTE would likely be more institutional flow or flow with larger premiums etc. If it’s too much of a hassle then don’t worry about but either way thanks for all you do!
This is super helpful. The missing piece for me is the overall market regime. I get really iffy about selling puts in a shaky market, and it’s easy for me to rationalize it by saying that I’m happy to own at that strike, but I'd rather have an understanding if this market environment is likely to get me into some hot water before going in the first place.
The recommended option setups are really nice because they give me a quick way to see a few different variations. I often ask AI: "with this setup and these strike prices, what my ROI is likely to be if the price moves 5% to 10% higher or 5% to 10% lower over the next three weeks." That helps me assess it too and could be a nice addition.
This is awesome and much appreciated James. I'm an engineer and have been using Claude for quite some time now so I get that it hallucinates and makes some errors but the value add to get more insights and rough ideas quickly is so worth it. Cheers.
thanks! I appreciate it and the feedback we get today we will fine-tune it more it just seems to want to go rogue on some things but overall it should mostly generate solid ideas off the database and inputs I gave it
So good! Have a few features for the roadmap for your consideration.
Feature Request #1: Ability to access database from prior day close before you send out the new link.
Feature Request #2: Ability to flag when there is a short term bullish trade and/or a trade on something that has not seen activity in a while
Feature Request #3: Ability to see the "heating up / cooling down" of a ticker.
For example, stock $ABC was not in the top 20 yesterday, but today it has moved up to #15. Inversely - Over the last 5 days TSLA was top 5, today it has moved down to $17.
IMO its worth adding grok as an additional source model just for the X access/commentary (api cost wont be that high and gives a lot of qualitative data)
Thoughts on using Claude to look at the database each week and generate a best idea or select a top 5 for the week and generate a focused list in place of your writing a best idea? Since it’s AI generated it would take almost no time. Claude is amazing I’ve been using it to write scripts/screeners for thinkorswim too and it’s pretty darn accurate
Maybe strongest overall flow for the week or month ? A lot of stuff gets highlighted on an individual day but that might not reflect previous and follow up flows the rest of the week. It would just be interesting to let Claude analyze the data and see what it comes up with…maybe there’s something there or maybe not. I can just say it’s helped me kill it daytrading mega caps by identify strong pre market and intraday flows.
ya that's the stuff I'm talking about, Claude unfortunately hallucinates alot and I didn't want to release it these last few weeks because of that but we're trying to work around it.
Great Moves, James !! Onwards and Upwards for Sure !! ;-) I use AI on every trade ...

Will look into it thanks for the feedback

Nice work, man.
Like I always say once over the 21 ema you can do whatever you want when we lose it that’s when you have to worry

Does anyone know where or how I can access the database? I can’t find it and am losing my mind!

Great work James! Can you describe what criteria you use to log the trades? Thanks!

Well that’s a tough task bc what are the parameters for a best idea? I can, for me it was sort of go off feel more than anything else

Feedback: on IBM, the "Bull put spread at 240/230 for capped income" shows 220 strike instead of 230, with mid price = 0

I use ChatGPT Enterprise and Gemini 3 Ultra !!
