For the bullish and bearish trends that you publish, could you also publish call/put dates these options are being traded at (majority of call/put dates) ? This will help us to trade options with calls/puts for those particular option expiry dates.
Basically this would help to know how long we should be bullish or bearish for that particular trade.
I’m trying to come up with a way for you all to access the database I just can’t link it to substack and I’ve only done this for a month now so I’m trying to find a solution for you all to search it on your own
That is a lot of extra work on my end posting all the trades for 10 extra names daily. The point isn’t the exact numbers, the point is to learn what names have directional bias and how to sell puts at key moving averages on those charts. My game is selling puts into strength.
As you said, for day-to-day changes it seems that volatility makes more difference than anything else -- other than big moves in an underlying.
I like to take some bearish positions as well as short puts and put spreads. For me, that's another component of preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. With that in mind, I'd very much appreciate your publishing the top bearish trends as well as the top bullish trends. Thanks.
Sure thing, will do. It’s just the bullish trends overwhelm bc it’s call buys + put sells vs just put buys. He wasn’t able to figure out how to integrate the spreads bought and risk reversals to the trends
No worries. Appreciate all your hard work, thanks
The PINS puts that you sold - is that purely based on incoming options flow or based on company’s some financial metrics as well ?
Just trying to understand your decision making process on selling puts as I have never done it before.
The flow + the chart + the activist involvement
What is the activist involvement ?
Elliot management is involved sub 20 and has added a lot making it a top position for them
Am I correct in saying - the good time to sell puts is when market is down and the option flow is bullish on that particular stock ?
You would get more premium for selling puts when market is down
