9/23 Recap

I’m getting the recaps out an hour or so early the last few days and this week because I have alot of things to do this week. As you all know my dad has been in the hospital since May, next monday is the closing on his business. I’ve been swamped dealing with it in my afternoons and it will be nice not to have anymore of that next week. One of the hardest things I’ve ever done because I don’t work with him, I didn’t know much about what’s going on, and I’ve had to find employees new jobs, managing paperwork he used to do, handling the transfer of everything with the buyer. To say it has been a rough few months for me is an understatement, running a small business is no easy feat for seasoned operators, I had no clue what I was doing, but I am only child, so there was nobody else to get all this done. The good news is, in 7 days it is all over and I will have a major weight lifted off my back and be back to sending the recaps later in the day with more data.

The SPY didn’t do anything today, just a tight range so far holding the breakout from last week. We’re building nicely over the breakout the last 3 sessions and the 21 ema keeps sloping higher. This looks good as long as we keep holding over it. We have some news coming tonight out of China regarding stimulus that should impact our markets, let us see how we close today and how that goes tonight before discussing direction of the market more.

Recent trades

BHVN - This didn’t take long, in the friday recap here I noted this odd lot of calls on BHVN with the stock at 40, it gapped up over 50 this morning in the premarket and those calls are 4.20 right now even with the name just over 45 up around 80% just 1 session later. I don’t know what happened today, nor do I really care but if you took these I’d be looking to exit into the liquidity today.
